LE ROI D'ÉBÈNE

The Ebony King embodies an intimate and unapologetic African pride.

As the figure of the Black King, he stands as the guardian of the continent’s riches and ancestral narratives.
A true keeper of stories, he protects the memories that connect the past to the future,
preserving Africa’s cultural treasures and the foundational memories of childhood.

The cracked relief, a signature element of my work, evokes the African soil marked by drought.
The fluid lines, meanwhile, symbolize rainwater, a source of renewal and life.
Together, these textures express the eternal cycle of nature, the foundation of the earth’s capacity to nurture,
a story of sacred balance passed down through generations of African peoples.
